A place where the sun rises at six and sets at five,

Where the people don’t need wifi and air conditioning to thrive.

A place astonishing in every direction you gaze,

The time flew by, but here’s a glimpse of my first two months on the race:

I first see vibrant shades of blues, browns and greens

Almost as beautiful as all the shy smiles and humble hands that plant various seeds.

I see fellowship work to drown doubt and darkness

And innovative thinking that comes as simply as the coffee beans harvest.

I see a hopeful building and people rejoicing at the top of a steep incline

And a work ethic as persistent as the rain falls in the winter time.

I see a vision multiplying and reaching great amounts

Almost as great as the total number of tortillas we’ve eaten, I’m talking pounds.

I see a change being made because of a pursued dream and desire

A group of people that have given their lives to serve and inspire.

I see a place where a hunger to learn continues and has no intention to stop

It’s worth a bumpy truck ride to the mountain top.

I won’t forget the people that taught me and humbled me so,

For this experience I thank Catracho.

Todo la gloria a Dios
